If you’re not a fan of this feature, Truecaller also lets you avoid receiving video caller IDs for all incoming calls. You can manage the feature under Settings > Caller ID in the app. Truecaller version 12 also brings call recording to everyone. This feature was previously limited to Truecaller Premium users. You can record all incoming as well as outgoing calls irrespective of whether or not your device supports the feature. Just make sure that you aren’t violating any laws in your region. According to the company, recordings are stored locally on the device. It can’t access those files. Another change coming to Truecaller with the latest update is separate tabs for calls and messages. The company has split the Home tab to separately list calls and messages, allowing for a cleaner look and easier access. There are also a couple of additional perks for Truecaller Premium users. Firstly, we have a Ghost Call feature that lets you set up fake calls. The app allows you to manually enter a name, number, and profile picture for the call or select a saved contact. You can then schedule the call to have your phone ring at that exact moment. You will receive a fake call that you can pretend to be a real one and get out of awkward situations. Next up, Truecaller is adding the ability to announce incoming calls. Your phone will speak out the caller’s name loud so you know who’s calling without even looking at the phone. This feature works with headphones as well.
