Samsung makes quite a few phones; There’s a Samsung handset for just about every market. Nipping at the heels of its premium Galaxy S and Z phones are the Galaxy A phones. They offer a comparable design to the flagship handsets. However, their less premium internals mean that the price is also substantially lower.
The Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A73 5G are now official
We’ve been following leaks and rumors pertaining to these devices for a while, and that includes the Galaxy A53 5G as well. These two phones will have decent specs which will be enough for most average users. As to be expected, the Galaxy A73 5G will have the better specs of the duo. It will have a 6.7-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display that can run at 120Hz, and it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC. In terms of RAM and storage, this phone has 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage which are good for a mid-ranger. If you need more, these phones, thankfully, come with expandable storage. The camera specs on the Galaxy A73 5G are pretty robust. It has a 108MP main camera, and that’s accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera. They’re all housed in a camera island that resembles that of an Oppo phone. Upfront, there’s a 32MP selfie camera housed in the punch-hole in the display. Other specs include a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at up to 25W, and IP67 water and dust resistance. Also, this phone will launch with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 out of the box.
The Galaxy A33 5G will be less premium
As for the smaller of the two phones, the specs will be lukewarm. The Galaxy A33 will have a smaller 6.4-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display that can run at 90Hz. It’ll be powered by the Exynos 1280 SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage for this phone is also expandable. This phone will have a 48MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 5MP macro sensor. Upfront, the teardrop notch will hold the 13MP selfie camera. This phone will also have a 5,000mAh battery, IP 67 water and dust resistance, and Android 12 with One UI 4.1 out of the box. These phones won’t make it to the States, but you can order them in Europe. They go on sale starting April 22nd.
