OnePlus has revealed the Nord CE 2 5G design via an official render
This image was spotted by Abhishek Yadav, who shared it on Twitter. It seems like OnePlus listed the OnePlus Nord CE 5G under some sort of ‘Prizes’ section on its website. It is possible some sort of giveaway contest is coming.
The design looks exactly like we expected, as the device did surface before. This phone will likely be made out of metal and glass, unless OnePlus opts for a plastic back, which is not as likely. It will have three cameras on the back, and two of them will be considerably larger than the third. Those cameras will protrude as part of the camera island on the back, and be located in the top-left corner. OnePlus’ logo is clearly visible on the back, while the phone will have a display camera hole in the top-left corner. The bottom bezel will be noticeably thicker than the rest of them. On the left side, you’ll notice the volume up and down buttons. On the right, only the power / lock key is located.
The alert slider won’t be a part of the package
There is no alert slider on either side, which is something we expected. Still, the alert slider has become a staple of OnePlus’ smartphones, so this change is rather odd, but there you go. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will also ship without it. The specs of this phone also surfaced yesterday. The phone will feature a 6.43-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display. That panel will be flat, and it will be a 90Hz display. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC will fuel the phone, while you’ll get to choose between 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. A 4,500mAh battery will also be thrown into the mix, along with 65W wired charging and included charger. Android 11 will allegedly come pre-installed, which is rather odd. An in-display fingerprint scanner will be a part of the package, and an optical one. 64, 8, and 2-megapixel cameras will sit on the back, while a single 16-megapixel camera will be included on the front.
